Berwick Poll

So, Christine Grahame thinks Westminster should take heed of the ballot that took place in Berwick on Tweed which indicated that 60 percent of the population want the Scottish border moved south to include them.

Why does she think that Westminster will take any more notice of this poll when several polls by MORI and ICM show that more than 65 percent of those questions want an English Parliament?

Perhaps as this issue is relating to our PMs native country it will receive a sympathetic hearing where as demands for an English Parliament fall on deaf ears.

re Christine Graham & poking her nose into English affairs re Berwick.I suggest she concentrates on being a MEP & investigate the missing millions reported, from the European Parliament, yet again we are seeing Politicians on the fiddle. This UK govt who allows the scottish Politicians to promote an advantage & gain for there own people!it is a shame that England has not got the same freedom.Englands Politicians should stand up for her rights, the people are getting a bad deal...

Although the 'Tonight' programme about Berwick was at least mainstream enough to get noticed by the general public it wasn't nearly as interesting as 'Citizen Smith's' programme on English reluctance to demonstrate national pride in comparison to Scottish nationalism. Plus it had the immortal line 'We may have a Scottish Prime Minister but we've also got an English Highland Dancing Champion.' Such a shame it was on at about 3am...
